skeleton bangle
I created a bangle made of 2 identical parts held together by 2 jump rings. I hand carved one half of the bangle, and made a mold to create the second half. I was inspired by bones, and wanted to mimic the asymmetrical sort of shape of the wrist in an abstract way. To further emphasize the asymmetry, I wanted the 2 jump rings to work in different orientations - one of the jump rings is vertical and the other is horizontal. I think it is pretty interesting to have a non-uniform like bangle to be made of two identical, uniform parts. Like bones, this bangle has a rougher finish compared to my other pieces, but it emphasizes a more natural and organic look. I hand carved this piece out of wax and cast it in sterling silver.
